Robert “Bob” John Odenkirk (born October 22, 1962) is an actor, comedian, writer, director, and producer. He attended Naperville North High School, in Naperville, IL. Odenkirk started out as a television writer, working for Saturday Night LiveLate Night with Conan O’Brien, and other comedic shows during the 1980s and 1990s. He also occasionally appeared in front of the camera. While working for The Ben Stiller Show, he met fellow comedian David Cross. The two ended up creating their own comedy sketch series, Mr. Show with Bob and David, which ran for four seasons on HBO. Odenkirk began amassing a long list of acting credits during the 1990s and 2000s, appearing in primarily humorous films and television shows, including SeinfeldThe Larry Sanders Show and Curb Your Enthusiasm. He also directed three films (in which he also acted), including 2006’s Let’s Go to Prison. Odenkirk’s big career breakthrough came about in 2009, when he began appearing as Saul Goodman in the series Breaking Bad. He currently stars in the spinoff series, Better Call Saul.
