Alexandra Elizabeth “Ally” Sheedy (born June 13, 1962) is an actress. She graduated from Columbia Grammar & Preparatory School, in New York, NY, in 1980, where she participated in drama and yearbook staff. Sheedy started out in television, appearing in three episodes of Hill Street Blues, before making her big-screen debut in 1983 in the film Bad Boys. A member of the Brat Pack, Sheedy is probably best known for her role as Allison Reynolds (the “basket case”) in 1985’s The Breakfast Club. Other acting projects have included the films WarGames, St. Elmo’s Fire, and High Art and guest appearances on Red Shoe Diaries, The Dead Zone, and Psych. Sheedy also authored a best-selling children’s book (She Was Nice to Mice) when she was only 12 years old.
