John Dezso Ratzenberger (born April 6, 1947) is an actor. He attended Bassick High School, in Bridgeport, CT. Ratzenberger started acting in the 1970s while living in London, performed comedic improv theater across the UK. By the mid-1970s, he was getting cast in small roles in some pretty big films, including A Bridge Too Far and The Empire Strikes Back. Ratzenberger shot to fame a few years later when he won the role of Cliff Clavin (a character which he initially suggested) in the series Cheers and is still arguably most associated with this character. Among other acting work, he has also voiced a character in every Pixar movie to date (most notably, Hamm in the Toy Story series). Ratzenberger also hosted the Travel Channel series Made in America from 2003 to 2008.
