Lonnie Rashid Lynn, Jr. aka Common (born March 13, 1972) is an American rapper and actor. He attended Luther South High School in Chicago, Illinois. As a freshman, he played basketball on his freshman basketball team. While in high school, he formed the C.D.R. which opened for groups like N.W.A and Big Daddy Kane.
