Jay McKinley Novacek (born October 24, 1962) is a former American football player. He attended Gothenburg High School in Gothenburg, Nebraska. In high school, he was a three-sport athlete playing for his basketball, track, and football teams. Novacek was a tight end playing for the Cardinals and Cowboys. Throughout his 11 season career, Novacek was a five-time Pro Bowl participant and a three-time Super Bowl champion.
