Glenn Lewis Frey (November 6, 1948 – January 18, 2016) was an American musician and founder of the hit group the Eagles. He graduated with the class of 1966 from Dondero High School in Royal Oak, Michigan. In high school, he was a member of the group Subterraneans which included schoolmates Doug Edwards, Bob Wilson, Doug Gensch, and Bill Barnes. Not only was he the lead singer for the group the Eagles, he played guitar, piano and keyboard. He is known for his hit songs “Take It Easy” and “Tequila Sunrise” among many others.
