John Legend (born John Roger Stephens; December 28, 1978) is a singer and songwriter. He attended Springfield North High School in Springfield, Ohio. In high school, Legend was a member of the class council, was on the honor roll, the academic team, and was named Panther of the week at his school. John Legend burst onto the scene with his debut album, Get Liftedwhich was an international hit and eventually earned a gold status in the US.
