Alfred Matthew “Weird Al” Yankovic (born October 23, 1959) is a Grammy Award-winning American singer and songwriter. He graduated with the class of 1976 from Lynwood High Schoolin Lynwood, California. Yankovic was Valedictorian of his senior class and voted “Best Student”. He was involved in a number of clubs including the Roundtablers, Treasurer of the National Forensics League, C.S.F., Volcano Worshippers, and less surprisingly, the Thespians. Yankovic is best known for his comical parodies of popular songs which have earned him multiple gold and platinum records. In addition to his musical success, he has also appeared in movies and television shows, done voiceover work, and authored two books.
