Cloris Leachman (born April 30, 1926) is an American actress. She graduated with the class of 1944 from Roosevelt High School in Des Moines, Iowa. In high school, she was part of Student Congress and Order of the Oidar. She was thought of as “Class dramatic and music star” and had the nickname “Leach”. Leachman is best known for her role on the hit series Mary Tyler Moore. She has also had roles in films Young Frankenstein and Beverly Hillbillies, and on television shows Malcolm in the Middle, Raising Hope and Dancing with the Stars. She currently holds the title as ‘Most Wins by an Actress’ with eight Primetime Emmy Awards.
