Christopher Peter Meloni (born April 2, 1961) is an American actor. He attended St. Stephen’s School (now St. Stephen’s & St. Agnes School) in Alexandria, Virginia. He as a star player on his high school football team. Meloni is best known for his starring roles as Chris Keller on the hit HBO series Oz, and as Elliot Stabler on the television show Law & Order: Special Victims Unit. He has had other noteworthy roles on the hit show True Blood, and in films Runaway Bride, Green Lantern: First Flight, and Man of Steel a reboot of the Superman films.
