Ellen Lee DeGeneres (born January 26, 1958) is an American comedian, daytime television host, actress, writer and producer. She graduated with the class of 1976 from Atlanta High School in Atlanta, Texas. She was a reporter for her high school and played varsity tennis. She is best known for her daytime talk show The Ellen DeGeneres Show and hit sitcom Ellen. She has also starred in films EDtv, The Love Letter and Finding Nemo.
