Anna Kay Faris (born November 29, 1976) is an actress and producer. She graduated from Edmonds-Woodway High School, in Edmonds, WA, in 1994, where she was active in drama. In fact, Faris started acting professionally at the age of nine, although she didn’t consider pursuing it as a career until after she’d graduated from college. Her first major role came along in 2000, when she starred in Scary Movie (eventually followed by several sequels). Other films have included Lost in Translation, Brokeback Mountain, Just Friends, My Super Ex-Girlfriend, and The House Bunny. Since 2013, Faris has also starred in the popular television series Mom. She has been described as one of the strongest comic actresses of her generation.
