Donald Frank “Don” Cheadle (born November 29, 1964) is an actor, writer, producer, and director. He is a 1982 graduate of East High School, in Denver, CO, where he participated in Thespians, played saxophone in jazz band, sang in concert choir, and was a member of the soccer team. Cheadle first began acting professionally in the mid-1980s. Early work includes roles in the films Moving ViolationsHamburger Hill, and Colors and guest spots on episodes of Night Court and The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. He first started getting attention when he appeared in the 1995 film Devil in a Blue Dress (around the same time that he had a recurring role on the series Picket Fences). One of Cheadle’s most notable films to date is 2004’s Hotel Rwanda, in which he starred. Others include Ocean’s Eleven (and its two sequels), TrafficCrashTalk to Me, and Avengers: Age of Ultron. More recently, he co-wrote, directed, and starred in Miles Ahead(2016), based on the life of Miles Davis. Cheadle also stars in the comedic series House of Lies. Apart from acting, Cheadle co-authored the book Not On Our Watch: The Mission to End Genocide in Darfur and Beyond and co-founded the Not On Our Watch Project.
