Jacob Benjamin “Jake” Gyllenhaal (born December 19, 1980) is an actor. He graduated from the Harvard-Westlake School, in Los Angeles, CA, in 1998, where he was active in drama, soccer, and choir. Gyllenhaal’s acting career was launched early, with his first starring role – in the film October Sky – coming the year after he graduated from high school. His second film, Donnie Darko, has become a cult classic. Other notable projects include Brokeback Mountain, The Day After Tomorrow, Source Code, and Nightcrawler.
