Lucy Alexis Liu (born December 2, 1968) is an American actress, artist, producer, and director. She graduated with the class of 1986 from Stuyvesant High School, in New York, NY, where she was part of the speech and debate teams as well as class senate. In 1998, Liu made her major acting debut as Ling Woo on the hit comedy-drama series Ally McBeal. Soon after she starred in the successful film Charlie’s Angels and its sequel (Charlie’s Angels: Full Throttle). Other notable acting projects have included roles in Kill Bill: Volumes I and II, Chicago, Kung Fu Panda, and the series Southland. You can catch Liu as Joan Watson in the American Sherlock Holmes adaptation, Elementary.
