Megan Mullally (born November 12, 1958) is an actress and singer. She is a 1977 graduate of Casady School, in Oklahoma City, OK, which she attended from a very young age. While at Casady, she participated in theater and dance.
Mullally began acting professionally in the 1980s, with one of her first acting jobs being a McDonald’s commercial (which also featured John Goodman). Her first big-screen appearance was a small part in 1983’s Risky Business, and her first regular television gig was as a cast member of The Ellen Burstyn Show (1986-1987).
After guest appearances in numerous television shows (including Murder, She Wrote, Seinfeld, Ned and Stacey, and Frasier) Mullally landed the part of Karen Walker in the comedy series Will & Grace. She portrayed this character, for whom she is best known, from 1998 to 2006. Following a short stint hosting The Megan Mullally Show (2006-2007), she kept busy with recurring roles in various series, including 30 Rock, Parks and Recreation (opposite real-life husband Nick Offerman), and Bob’s Burgers. Mullally returned to her most famous role in 2017, when Will & Grace began airing new episodes.
