Robin McLaurin Williams (July 21, 1951 – August 11, 2014) was an American actor, comedian, producer, and screenwriter. He graduated with the class of 1969 from Redwood High School in Larkspur, California. In high school, he was part of the cross country team, track and field, and soccer teams. He was also part of the drama department which helped him to overcome his shyness. He first rose to fame in 1978 when he played the role of Mork the alien in the television series Mork & Mindy. His acting career boasted films such as Good Morning Vietnam, Dead Poets Society, Good Will Hunting, Hook, Mrs. Doubtfire, Jumanji, Night at the Museum, and Happy Feet.
