Seth Adam Meyers (born December 28, 1973) is a television host, comedian, writer, and actor. He is a 1992 graduate of Manchester High School West (also known as West High School), in Manchester, NH.

Meyers was an accomplished and involved high school student. He served as class treasurer, received academic honors, belonged to both the spring and winter track teams, and participated in Winter Follies as well as Comedy Night. As a senior, he was also voted best sense of humor AND best-looking.

Meyers became involved in improvisational comedy while in college. He went on to join the cast of Saturday Night Live in 2001, becoming head writer several years later. (Meyers wrote the famous line delivered by Tina Fey – as Sarah Palin: “I can see Russia from my house.”) He also became host of SNL’s Weekend Update segment.

In 2013, NBC announced that Meyers would become the new host of Late Night the following year. Just a few weeks after his final appearance on Saturday Night Live, Meyers hosted his first episode of Late Night (now called Late Night with Seth Meyers).

In addition to his regular late-night hosting duties, Meyers has hosted the 66th Primetime Emmy Awards show, the 75th Golden Globe Awards show, and the 2011 White House Correspondents’ Dinner. He’s also appeared in several films and had guest appearances on a number of television shows.

Awards (partial list):

  • Writers Guild of America Award for Comedy/Variety (including talk) series for Saturday Night Live. 2007, 2009, 2010
  • Peabody Award for Saturday Night Live. 2009
  • Writers Guild of America Award for Comedy/Variety (Music, Awards, Tributes) – Specials for 71st Golden Globe Awards. 2015
