Wolf Isaac Blitzer (born March 22, 1948) is a television host, news anchor, and journalist. He graduated from Kenmore West High School, in Buffalo, NY, in 1966, where he participated in student council and drama, among other activities. Blitzer got his start in journalism after college, working for the Reuters news agency. He was soon hired by the Jerusalem Post as a Washington, DC, correspondent, and he remained with the publication until 1990. In that same year, he began working for CNN, first as a reporter and then as an anchor. He began hosting his own show, Wolf Blitzer Reports, in 2000. He has hosted The Situation Room since 2005 and also hosts the daytime news show Wolf. Blitzer has won several journalism awards, including an Emmy Award for his coverage of the 1995 Oklahoma City bombing.
